Community Safety Act of 2019

This bill authorizes the Department of Justice to make grants for technical assistance and training to improve responses to and reduce recidivism associated with people who have mental illnesses and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Additionally, the bill extends through FY2025 the mental health training grant program of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
