Build More Housing Near Transit Act

This bill revises requirements for the fixed guideway capital investment grant program.

Specifically, the bill

  • requires capital investment grant applicants to conduct a housing feasibility assessment along proposed transit routes prior to a project advancing to the engineering phase of development, and
  • prioritizes a commitment to changing local land use policies in project station areas to accommodate affordable and market-rate housing development.
