Second Amendment Protection Act

This bill removes the federal prohibition on the sale, purchase, shipment, receipt, or possession of a firearm or ammunition for an individual who uses marijuana for medical purposes in accordance with state law. (Currently, marijuana is on the list of controlled substances, and an individual who illegally uses or is addicted to a controlled substance, including marijuana, is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition.)
