Petroleum Coke Transparency and Public Health Protection Act

This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to study and report on petroleum coke usage, including public-health and environmental impacts, best practices for storage and transport, and an analysis of current and projected production and utilization locations.

The Environmental Protection Agency must issue rules for petroleum coke storage and transportation that protect public and ecological health, based on the HHS study.
