Targeted Opioid Funding Act

This bill amends the 21st Century Cures Act to require the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, in awarding grants to address the opioid crisis, to give preference to states with high mortality rates associated with opioid use disorders. This preference is in addition to the existing preference given to states with a high prevalence of opioid use disorders.

Grants must be at least $5 million.
