Pipeline Safety Act of 2017

This bill directs the Department of Transportation to amend a federal regulation relating to onshore oil pipeline operator response plans to oil discharges to require (under current law authorizes) the Office of Pipeline Safety of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration to consult with the Environmental Protection Agency or the U.S. Coast Guard if a federal on scene coordinator has concerns regarding such operator's ability to respond to a worst case discharge of oil into or on the navigable waters or adjoining shorelines.
