Increasing Veteran Access to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act of 2018

This bill directs the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to ensure that the colorectal cancer preventive screening guidelines used in each VA and non-VA medical facility at which veterans receive hospital care or medical services include all strategies for preventive colorectal screenings included in:

  • the latest recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, and
  • the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set issued by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
