Safer Streets Act of 2018

This bill amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to direct the Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services to award grants to local governments with high rates of violent crime to support law enforcement efforts such as hiring additional officers, acquiring surveillance equipment, and promoting prevention programs.
