Plain-English summary
No State Resources for Immigration Enforcement (NSRIE) Act
This bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from entering into a written agreement with a state or political subdivision pursuant to which any state or subdivision officer or employee is authorized to carry out an immigration function in relation to the investigation, apprehension, or detention of aliens in the United States (including the transportation of such aliens across state lines to detention centers).
