Free Market Flights Act of 2016

This bill terminates on October 1, 2016, Department of Transportation authority to carry out the essential air service program.

The bill requires deposit in the Treasury for deficit reduction of any overflight fees collected by the Federal Aviation Administration for air traffic control and related services that would otherwise be made available for the program.
