Medicare Mammogram Access Protection Act of 2001 - Amends Federal law commonly known as the Benefits Improvement and Protection Act to provide for a one-year delay of inclusion of payment for screening mammography in the Medicare (title XVIII of the Social Security Act (SSA)) physician fee schedule.

Amends SSA title XVIII to provide for a change in reimbursement under the Medicare program for screening mammographies furnished in 2002.

Directs the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission to study and report to Congress on the relative value units established by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Medicare physician fee schedule for screening services that are reimbursed under such fee schedule.
