Plain-English summary
Southeast Federal Center Public-Private Development Act of 2000 - Authorizes the Administrator of General Services (GSA) to enter into agreements with private entities for the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, operation, maintenance, or use of the Southeast Federal Center (a site in the southwest quadrant of Washington, DC, under GSA control) or other appropriate activities related to the Center. Requires any such agreement to ensure that redevelopment of the Center is consistent with the objectives of the National Capital Planning Commission's vision plan entitled "Extending the Legacy: Planning America's Capital in the 21st Century."
Requires the Administrator, before entering into a final agreement, to report to specified congressional committees. Requires a 30-day waiting period after such submission before the agreement may become effective.
Requires any net proceeds (after expenses) under an agreement to be deposited into the Federal Buildings Fund established under the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949.
