Science Museum Assistance Act - Directs the National Science Foundation (NSF) to establish: (1) a merit based, competitive program of awards to science museums to make their services more available and to foster their involvement in local science and technology education; and (2) a peer review process to select award recipients. Sets forth selection criteria.
Requires the program established under this Act to be administered through the Science and Engineering Education activity at the NSF.
Authorizes appropriations for FY 1990 and subsequent fiscal years.
Referred to the Subcommittee on Science, Research and Technology.
