Public Safety Officers' Benefits Amendments of 1987 - Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to increase from $50,000 to $100,000 the benefits paid to survivors of public safety officers (law enforcement officers and fire fighters) who die as a result of injury sustained in the line of duty. Allows such benefits to be paid to a designated beneficiary if there is no surviving spouse, child, or parent.
States that funds in the Department of Justice Assets Forfeiture Fund shall be used for the payment of one-half of such benefits.
